Paranormal & Horrifying Experiences
Real Ghost Encounters: The Fake Millat of Khilgaon
Because of our work, we often have to do night duty alone in empty places. But what happened to me one night was not just spooky. It became a real terror for me, and it is one of the real ghost encounters I will never forget. I will not talk too much, I will just begin.
A Quiet Night Shift
At that time I was working as a security guard at a well-known institution in Khilgaon, Dhaka. For safety reasons I will not give the exact address. Our duty was in shifts. After one or two o’clock at night, one of us would go to sleep while the other stayed awake on guard. That is how it went.
That night, my colleague on duty with me was Millat. Millat said to me, “Brother, don’t wake me today. I have duty somewhere else in the morning. I will have a long sleep.” I said easily, “All right, no problem. You go down to the basement and rest. I am here.” Millat went downstairs. I sat alone in front of the bench. It was deep night.
The Colleague Who Came Up the Stairs
Suddenly the whole area went into a power cut. Everything around turned strangely still. Usually the generator starts within a minute or two of the power going. But that day, even after five minutes, the darkness did not lift. I was wondering whether I should leave my post alone, in case thieves took advantage of the dark.
Just then Millat came and stood in front of me. I looked at him in surprise. He said, “Brother, please see why the generator isn’t starting.”
I turned on my phone’s flashlight and set off for the basement. Going down the stairs, on the left was our resting cot, and on the right was the generator room. The moment I shone my phone’s light to the left, my heart seemed to dry up. I saw Millat on that very cot, fast asleep. The sky fell on my head. The same Millat who had just come up and asked me to check the generator, how had he got down before me and into his sleeping place? There was no way to go down to the basement without passing me. A cold current ran through my body. I ran back upstairs in one dash.
But when I got up there, the place was deserted. Nobody was anywhere. Pin-drop silence all around. Frightened and confused, I went down again. Everything was turning upside down before my eyes. The Millat I had just seen asleep a moment ago was not there any more. I could not believe my own eyes.

Two Red Eyes in the Dark
As I hurried toward the generator room, a notification came on my phone: “Your battery is shutting down.” I clearly remember it had more than fifty percent charge. Within a few seconds, three, two, one, and the phone switched off. Pitch dark all around. There are always a few small red indicator lights glowing on the generator. That night they were off.
Suddenly my eyes locked on two glowing red dots in the darkness. I thought they were small lamps. But after looking for a little while, I understood that they were moving. They were not lamps at all. They were the burning red eyes of something. I shut my own eyes and began to recite Ayatul Kursi like a madman.
After a while the power suddenly came back. I somehow ran upstairs with my life in my hands. As soon as I got there, I saw Millat sitting there perfectly normally. Seeing me, he asked in surprise, “What happened, brother? Where did you go?” Panting, I said, “You, where were you? Tell me that.”
What Millat said next made my head spin. He said, “Brother, I was sleeping downstairs. Suddenly Sir came and knocked hard on the gate, and my sleep broke. I came up and found you were not here.” Then Millat told me the most terrifying thing of all. He said, “Brother, after I went downstairs, the power did not go off even once. What are you saying?”
I stood like a stone. The power cut, the darkness, the thing that spoke to me in Millat’s form, who was it? If there was no power cut, how did my phone’s charge vanish in a few minutes?
What I Learned About the Building
After that incident I never did duty there again, not even for one day. I left the job then and there. Later I found out that when that building was being built, two masons had died, either falling from the roof or in some other accident. Perhaps their restless souls are still trapped between those four walls. The fake Millat who spoke to me that night, and the red eyes in the dark, I believe were all the game of that unseen power. Taking on a human form to mislead people and draining the energy of batteries and electronic things is an old habit of theirs, as I have heard. These are the real paranormal experiences that stay with a person for life. I did not waste another moment, and the very next day I quit that job,
