Real Supernatural Stories: The Snake Queen’s Curse on a Madrasa Student

October 29, 2026 Rasel

I will not tell everyone the name of the madrasa. Let me introduce myself: my home is in Gournadi thana, and right beside it is Agailjhara thana. There are three or four places there where people go to visit. One is a grave twenty-two cubits long, another is a Manasa temple, and another is a fort that looks like the Taj Mahal. I went to visit these three places first. This is one of the real supernatural stories of my own life, and my name is Abdur Rahman.

A Day I Should Never Have Had

Rasel bhai, on the day I went to see the Taj Mahal-like place and the Manasa temple, I, as a Muslim, out of hatred for Hindus, took down the candles that had been lit at the Taj Mahal-like place and threw them away. Then I went to the Manasa temple. There too I did the same thing. I threw away the candles, and there were green coconuts there, and I threw those away too. Without anyone knowing, without letting anyone see, I ran away. After finishing my wandering I went back to the madrasa.

But Rasel bhai, I never imagined that this act of mine would turn out so harmful to my life. It hurts me to speak about my life, but I love you, and I love Bhoot FM, so I am telling it.

The Dream of the Clock

I sleep around ten at night. Exactly two hours after sleeping, I dreamed that the clock of our madrasa stopped at one. After stopping, the clock began to run backwards, from one to twelve, like that. In fear I looked outside. I saw a severed head, nothing below it, only a head, smeared with red, and all the ground red. As soon as I looked, another severed head. One head moved toward the other, and the one I had seen first was eating the other. Three or four heads came one after another and began eating. Seeing this eating, I jumped up and sat bolt upright. From here the story of my life begins.

My life went on like this. After a month, a complaint suddenly went to my father: your son does not study, he cannot give his lessons in class. My father came to me, stunned. He asked, “What has happened to you? Why can’t you study?” Rasel bhai, I myself did not know what had happened to me. From that day on I knew nothing. I studied, but could not do it, I could not remember anything. I do not know if you will believe it, but I am telling you. I could not even imagine what was happening to me.

Then my father got a taweez for me from my maternal uncle in Gournadi, if I say his name everyone will know. But Rasel bhai, the taweez did me no good. About a week later I saw the same dream again. But this time, while those heads were eating, a big man in white clothes came, it seemed he was two or three kilometres tall, skyscraping. He wanted to catch me but could not. Seeing this I leapt up. I told Abbu and Ammu nothing.

Back in Class

Then suddenly one day another complaint went to my father. I was a very good person, yet I was not doing well in studies. My parents thought perhaps because I was far away, I was worrying about them and not studying. So they brought me back to my earlier madrasa where I used to study, in Gournadi.

After bringing me back, suddenly one day I was sitting in class when I saw the same shadow come and stand before me. At a small corner of my book that same shadow was coming. I threw the book away. The moment I threw it, everyone in the class grabbed me. And I could see that it was coming out of the book toward me, coming closer, coming closer, coming closer. I could not understand what was happening to me. Weeping, I was showing everyone with my hands, the whole class, the hujur, they were holding me and asking what had happened. I was showing them that something was coming to me, grabbing me. Rasel bhai, then there was something like a big cane in its hand. I immediately lost consciousness.

Afterwards I asked them what had happened to me. They said I was bringing so much strength into my body that as I lost consciousness they saw something entering inside me. Then they saw me get up and walk away on my own. They were holding me. They all understood that a jinn had come to me. The whole class held me and sat me down. But Rasel bhai, nobody could hold me down. Everyone together said “Allahu Akbar” loudly, blowing on my ears, eyes and nose, reciting Ayatul Kursi. But no recitation could stop me, no student brother could hold me. Then a hujur (Islamic scholar) from there was called. He came and blew something over me. I recovered. At once my parents were informed, and everyone came.

A Year of Possession

Rasel bhai, exactly this story went on with me for a year. They wanted to take me, I wanted to go with them, and I would lose consciousness. My parents all saw something rising from inside my body, and I was foaming like a snake, dancing like a snake, singing like a snake, becoming like a snake in everything. When my parents told me this, it struck me that I had gone to the Manasa temple. I could only remember that temple. I told Abbu and Ammu, “Abbu, Amma, I went to that temple. The moment I went to the temple, I fell into this condition. I have even seen this incident in a dream.”

Then my parents took me to a big hujur. He gave me tadbir and held a boithok, a gathering. At the gathering they tried to summon the jinn who came into me, with five candles and music. Before long I lost consciousness. They say that through my mouth I said, “We are twelve.” Actually I do remember their names. The first names were Shapna, Rina and Debota, these three names. But Rasel bhai, they lied, in truth they were not three, they were many. Anyway, since it was a Manasa temple, there are bound to be big things, that is natural. Then they were asked, “What do you want? What will make you go?” They said, “We want him. We like him. He harmed us. In return we want him, we want to take him.” Then the fakir said, “No, he cannot be given. What do you want in return?” They said, “We want a goat, and we will bathe him in its blood.”

Rasel bhai, I am telling this briefly here. You should hear the story quickly. God willing, I will tell it at greater length in front of you. Rasel bhai, the story does not end here. This is only that one year’s story. Our madrasa year runs from one Eid to the next. I have gone up to that Eid. Rasel bhai, I stayed well for two or three months, Ramadan and two months till Qurbani. At Qurbani my parents and everyone sacrificed. Before long, the story of the next year began. I do not know how it will feel to you. Rasel bhai, every year, along with the same story, something new kept happening to me.

The Spirit Girl and the Court

Rasel bhai, let me tell the last year. In the last year my parents saw that nothing more was being achieved through me. About twelve or thirteen lakh taka of my parents had been wasted on me. Then I was taken to a great fakir. My parents left me with him for about three months and went away. He treated me for about three months, and after three months I recovered. But Rasel bhai, a month after recovering I fell ill again. My parents understood nothing, but he said, “I will cure him, for sure.”

Suddenly one day I got admitted to a new madrasa. Sitting there I again began to see the same story. The same white figure. But Rasel bhai, this time it was not only the white man. Along with that white man some black men were coming toward me. And a big royal palace, and in it a big man seated like a king. Rasel bhai, how can I explain, each of them had big knives, something like swords, and the tips of the swords were like snakes. I could not understand what was happening to me. In the dream I saw that I was being taken before them, and the king was saying, “You have ruined my son.”

In my dreams, the same thing happened with only one girl, and that girl was very beautiful. At the last time, when I stood before them, I saw that girl who used to come with me standing behind the king. She had come as a king’s daughter would. Then in front of her I asked, “You know me. Save me from their hands. I love you very much.” Then she said, “I was married before. But you ruined the child of that household.” I asked, “How did I ruin the child?” She said, “The one who was with you all this time was my son. When that boy went, you people beat him to death. You said many fakirs had been shown to me. The fakirs would beat my son with a banana tree branch, the stalk that grows with banana leaves. And many fakirs would hack at her son. That is why her child died. You destroyed my child, because of which my husband left me. Since then I have spent the nights with you. I want only you.”

Rasel bhai, then I faced this situation. I saw that everyone was marrying me off to take me away. Seeing them I was afraid, but seeing the girl I felt very good. Still I could not understand that I was making a mistake. Rasel bhai, I will break these words down further there, I cannot explain to you how, I do not know. I saw that a marriage with her was performed. I woke from the dream. Waking, I told Abbu and Ammu again. They brought me home. But Rasel bhai, after coming home, I saw the same dream. That girl no longer comes to me, instead she comes in such a form that in front of me she becomes a snake. She becomes such a huge snake that anyone would be afraid just seeing it. She sends out a spark like fire, which burns me. Rasel bhai, I am conscious, but I see all this. Abbu and Ammu hold me and cry, give blessed water, but nobody can do anything.

The Court’s Demands

Then one night I was shown in a dream, “You hold a boithok, I will speak before you. Our king will come and judge you.” The one whose child had died at my father’s hand, I kept seeing him in dreams again and again. Then I said to Abbu and Ammu, “Abbu, let us go to that fakir first again.” I was taken. Then, Rasel bhai, what became a big mark in my life: they all came, and the judge of their court said that they would take me. My parents said, “Whatever you want in return for this, we will give.” But they said, “No, we want him.” My parents said, “No, we will not give him. However much I suffer, I will not let him go.” Then they said again, “We have three judgements here, and among the three we follow this one.” My parents touched their feet. They said, “We hold your feet, leave my son, we will give whatever you want.” Then they said, “On this new moon he will be married. After the marriage, whatever child comes from his union on this new moon, we will take that child on the next new moon. On the night of the next new moon he and his wife will go to a big field, and from there we will take his baby.”

Rasel bhai, after this was said, in our Gournadi we are quite influential. But hearing this, nobody would give me a daughter, my parents thought. This too cannot be accepted, and my child going, Rasel bhai, my child leaving right before my eyes, that is never possible. But they have their pain too, that we took their child. But they do not see that they harmed us.

My parents again held their feet. “No, ask for something else in return.” Then they said, “On the night of the new moon you must bring a clay idol of Manasa from the Manasa temple and a Kali, these two. You must bathe these two with the blood of two male goats. And whoever will be his wife, Manasa will be in her hand and Kali in his. Carrying these two, you must go into the middle of a big river, swimming. Going into the middle of that river, you must smear those two idols with blood and then drop them in the middle of the river. And the two goats you must hang along with them, or else distribute the goat meat at a Manasa temple, or among Hindus or the poor.” My parents agreed.

Where He Stands Now

Rasel bhai, now I am well, alhamdulillah. But even though I am well, they still do me a harm. My friends know, my parents know, whenever they come, they do some harm or other. Rasel bhai, I was once a Golden A+ student. But now I cannot even be an A grade student, I barely pass.

Rasel bhai, in what I have said, many things have also gone wrong, I could not say them properly. That is why I am saying that after practising many times I hope I will remember. I want to come live in front of you and everyone and share it, so that I can bring it out before them, and by telling my emotions before them I will become lighter.

A Message to Rasel Bhai

Rasel bhai, if you give me the chance to speak, I will be grateful to you all my life. After hearing your stories I fall asleep many nights, and when I wake at Fajr time, I see your story is still going, one after another coming, even a year-old story plays. In truth I love you very much for Allah. You bring people’s things before people.

On the day you tell me, I will come to you. But Rasel bhai, the story of five, seven, eight years of my life will take a little time to tell. I hope to tell it better than this. You will help me, wherever I cannot tell it. Also, if you ask me, I can say many more things. Rasel bhai, I am a madrasa student, my holiday is Thursday and Friday. This is my Masters year, my Dawra year, and my memory is weak in any case. Please give me a chance on a Thursday or Friday. On whichever day you give me the chance, I will come that very day and meet you. I will share my story with everyone.

Rasel bhai, everyone in Barishal and Gournadi knows me, because this incident shook the whole area, everyone knows about me. For this reason I will give a little of my identity and not give a little. In particular I will hide the name of the madrasa and present some other details. But my name is Abdur Rahman, that will remain fixed. Rasel bhai, I want to come to you, tell my story, and I want a chance. If you have heard my story, thank you. May everyone be well. May Allah the Exalted keep you healthy.
